Todd McKenzie serves as President and CEO of McKenzie Properties Management, Inc. in Reno, Nevada. He leads the firm’s development, investment, and asset management operations, guiding its strategic vision and long-term growth. With more than two decades of leadership in real estate and capital investment, Todd combines deep financial expertise with a focus on building lasting value.
Since joining McKenzie Properties in 2005, Todd has directed the company through 26 projects across retail, office, and industrial sectors. His leadership includes 15 ground-up developments and 11 value-add acquisitions totaling more than 350 million dollars in assets under his direct involvement. He manages each stage of the development process, from feasibility and capital structuring to design, construction, leasing, and long-term operations.
Drawing on his financial background, Todd leads initiatives in capital sourcing, underwriting, and strategic partnerships that strengthen the firm’s financial position and expand its investment capabilities. His approach blends financial rigor with a strong commitment to responsible development that supports both investor confidence and growth.
Before transitioning into real estate, Todd spent 12 years in the financial sector with firms including Lehman Brothers in New York and UBS in Los Angeles. He advised high-net-worth clients on portfolio strategy, wealth planning, and risk management, developing an analytical and disciplined foundation that continues to inform his leadership in real estate and capital management.
Todd holds an MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and a Bachelor of Science in Finance and English from Boston College. His expertise includes real estate investment, capital structuring, underwriting and risk analysis, asset management, and strategic planning for both development and long-term portfolio growth. He has served as Chairman of the Finance and Investment Committee at Renown Health and as a past President of NAIOP Northern Nevada. Through these roles, Todd continues to advocate for financial discipline, responsible growth, and collaboration within the regional development community.
